Sarah Schütte is a UK-qualified solicitor-advocate and runs her own legal and training consultancy, Schutte Consulting Limited, based in London, UK, whose motto is "Making law work for the construction and engineering industry". Sarah has over 16 years' experience as a construction and engineering lawyer, including over 10 years in industry. She works with a wide variety of industry clients, law firms, seminar organisers and educational establishments to support their projects, disputes, corporate and project risk management and insurance strategies and training programmes. Mohd Harris Ismail has been actively involved in promoting the adoption and implementation of BIM in Malaysia. His passion in advocating BIM is translated into his active involvement in providing BIM consultancy and training to the practitioners, academicians and students. He speaks at various international events held in Malaysia, such as GeoSmart Asia Conference 2016 & 2017, RICS International BIM Conference 2015 & 2017, GLODON International Conference 2017 and some local events, such as series of Lectures and Seminar by PAM in 2016 - 2017. He is being recognized by BIM Institute of Malaysia as the BIM Collaboration (Level 2) Coach and Trainer. Further to that, his strong support to the education community has made him the developer and panel for BIM curriculum to the Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE).
He is currently the BIM Checker and BIM Consultant for several Mega Projects in Malaysia, one of which is Parcel F Development in Putrajaya. It was during this engagement that Mohd Harris had made a remarkable contribution by promoting BIM awareness through various events, one of which is the renowned BIM Day (CIDB) in 2014, 2015 & 2016. He had also initiated two (2) collaborative efforts between CIDB and international authority/body in BIM, which are the Center of Integrated Facility Engineering (CIFE) Stanford University, USA and BuildingSMART International Alliances, UK.
His strong advocacy for BIM implementation is supported by his vast experience of 23 years in the construction industry starting from Site Engineer up to Senior Project Manager. Some of the multi-million dollar construction projects which he had involved and successfully delivered are the Segari Power Plant, Sepang F1 Circuit, the Iconic Extension of Penang General Hospital and the New Sungai Buloh Expressway.
In line with his interest in advocating BIM, he works closely with various parties which are not-for-profit organizations, Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyor (RICS), Pertubuhan Arkitek Malaysia (PAM), Draftermal Association, and the latest one is BIM Institute of Malaysia.
